EUDR Compliance Services
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires companies that import, export, or trade products at risk of deforestation in the EU to conduct due diligence and, where applicable, to submit a Due Diligence Statement (DDS) to the European IT system.

Who is subject to the EUDR regulation?
The EUDR Regulation applies to anyone who imports into the EU, exports from the EU, or makes available on the EU market certain raw materials or derived products considered to pose a risk of deforestation.
The product categories covered are: wood, soy, cattle (meat and meat products), palm oil, cocoa, coffee, and rubber, in addition to the derived products listedin Annex I of the regulation.
The deadlines for implementation are as follows:
-
December 30, 2026: for large and medium-sized operators
-
June 30, 2027: for micro and small operators (in sectors other than the timber supply chain, to which the EUTR regulation already applied)
As of those dates, affected operators must have implemented an EUDR due diligence system, which includes collecting the required information, assessing the risk of deforestation and illegality, and, where applicable, submitting the Due Diligence Statement (DDS) to the European IT system.
As a result of these simplifications, only the first party to place EUDR goods on the EU market is required to undergo the full due diligence process.
How does our EUDR consulting work?
1. Conduct Due Diligence (Risk Assessment)
First, a comprehensive assessment is conducted of the risk of deforestation or forest degradation associated with the products intended for import into the EU, export, or sale. This assessment analyzes the precise geolocation of the plots from which the products originate, as well as their traceability and legal compliance.
2. Complete the Due Diligence Statement (DDS)
If the previous assessment indicates that the risk is nonexistent or negligible, proceed with drafting the EUDR due diligence statement. This statement must include all the information required by the EUDR regulation, such as the origin of the products, suppliers, geographic coordinates, etc.
3. Submission of the DDS to the competent authorities
Operators and traders must submit the due diligence statement (DDS) to the competent authorities through the EU electronic system; they must also retain the DDS and all supporting documentation for at least 5 years.
4. Monitoring and Any Updates
If the terms of supply for the products change, it is necessary to repeat the due diligence process and update the declaration. In the case of new supplies, the risk assessment described in point 1 must be performed again.
What are the penalties and consequences of non-compliance with the EUDR?
Failure to comply with the EUDR regulation carries the risk of fines of up to 4% of annual revenue in the EU, seizure or recall of products from the market, and damage to the company’s reputation.
