CDP Reporting & Questionnaire Support
The CDP rating is an ESG rating developed by the nonprofit organization Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) to assess the environmental impact of organizations.
It is divided into four programs, each accompanied by a specific questionnaire on the following topics: the climate change, water security, the forests, and the supply chain.
The CDP ESG rating is obtained by completing the CDP questionnaires, which collect detailed data on sustainability strategies and performance. The responses are analyzed and evaluated by CDP, which publishes a report assigning a score—the CDP score.
Thanks to our expertise in the ESG field, we can assist you in completing CDP questionnaires, ensuring the proper disclosure of your company’s ESG data, and obtaining your CDP ESG rating.
The Benefits of Obtaining a CDP Rating
By completing the CDP questionnaires and obtaining a CDP rating, companies demonstrate their commitment to transparency regarding their environmental performance.
This offers numerous strategic advantages:
Attracting Investors
Environmental performance are increasingly becoming a key criterion in investors’ decision-making. Completing a CDP climate change questionnaire and achieving good scores helps attract investors who are sensitive to ESG issues (Environmental, Social, Governance).
Competitive Advantage
Companies participating in the CDP program can strengthen their corporate reputation by demonstrating their commitment to sustainability. In addition, they can address the ever-increasing demands for environmental transparency from the market and stakeholders.
Improving Risk Management
By completing the CDP Disclosure, companies are encouraged to understand and accurately identify potential risks and opportunities related to CDP issues (emissions, water, deforestation). This assessment enables companies to develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Which organizations are eligible for a CDP rating?
The CDP ESG rating is primarily intended for companies—especially large corporations and suppliers—but also local and government entities (Cities, States, and Regions Program).
Any company can participate in CDP reporting and improve its CDP ESG rating by implementing strategic initiatives. Ollum guides you through this journey, supporting you at every stage of the process with a clear and structured approach, divided into four main steps:
1. Data Collection
At this stage, we identify the information required to complete the CDP questionnaire toecoof the program (or programs): climate, water, deforestation, supply chain, cities, and regions. We provide you with a detailed checklist and work with your team to collect and organize the necessary data.
2. Eligibility Assessment
Once all the data has been collected, we analyze the documentation to verify that the CDP’s requirements are met and assess the strengths and areas for improvement.
3. Improving the CDP score (optional)
If necessary, we’ll support you in developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve your environmental performance and, consequently, your score. We’ll then complete the questionnaire, ensuring that the information is presented clearly and in accordance with CDP guidelines.
4. Completing and Submitting the Questionnaire
We complete the process by filling out the questionnaire in the format required by CDP and meeting the specified deadlines, and then submit it. The data will then be independently reviewed by CDP analysts, who will publish the report and the CDPrating.
